The 26-year-old Ikwaput guided her team and Masindi based Lady Doves Football Club to their maiden league title where she was the joint top scorer in the FUFA Women Super League with 16 goals.

She guided the club to the CECAFA region CAF Champions League qualifiers where the team was eliminated at semifinals in Nairobi but she had four goals to her name.

On the national team, Ikwaput guided the Crested Cranes to their first ever CECAFA Women championship with six goals in the tournament and emerged the Most Valuable Player of the tournament held in Uganda last month.

On the other side, 19-year-old Fauzia Najjemba wrote her name in history books by becoming the top scorer in the just concluded CECAFA Women championship with 12 goals to her name.

The 19-year-old Crested Cranes striker earlier this year moved to BIIK Shymkent in Kazakhstan where she has already scored nine goals and six assists.
