Diamond Platnumz wows crowds at Comedy Store charity concert
Tanzanian bongo flava singer, Naseeb Abdul Juma Issack, popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz left fans yearning for more after his performance at a charity concert organized by Comedy Store at the Kololo independence grounds.
It was a night to remember for Diamond’s fans as the singer hit the stage at 11pm and was welcomed by a thunderous applause from the audience.
Performing for an hour, the audience could not help singing alongside Diamond as he wowed them with some of his biggest hits including Marry you, Wape, Babalawo, Jeje and Tetema among others.
It was an icing on the cake as Diamond sampled Jose Chameleone’s Mama Mia that threw fans into frenzy but it was another experience as he teased the audience by singing Aziz Azion’s Nkumila Omukwano which he dedicated to Zari, the mother of his two kids.
The singer insisted he is not in love again and is not looking for another hook-up with Zari but rather they are just co-parenting.
Kenya’s Nameless also left the fans yearning for more as he performed songs like Bomba Train, Githurai, Deadly and the most popular Nasinzia that left everyone singing along.
Ugandan artists, Spice Diana, Winnie Nwagi, Alien Skin, Crysto Panda, Karole Kasita and Abeeka Band also put-up spectacular performances with exhilarating music on the day of the concert whose proceeds will go towards the Comedy Store Foundation which runs programs aimed at facilitating youth skilling and mentorship as well as positively impacting the society within which the comical establishment operates.
