Aziz Azion evokes sweet memories at his “Strings of Love” concert at Serena

It was love in the air at Kampala Serena Hotel as singer Aziz Azion held the ‘Strings of love concert’, the first in 12 years for him.

Azion’s last concert dubbed “Oxygen” for singles was held in 2011 and the ‘Strings of Love’ concert was therefore meant to bring lovers together, evoke memories but also “make people appreciate Ugandan music”.

The concert lived up to this billing.

At 8pm, the stage was lit up and the man of moment, Aziz Azion stepped forward with Baliwa that didn’t leave anyone in the audience down.

The singer who is also a guitar maestro later took fans down the memory lane with his hits including Yegwe, Nakupenda, Ndi Wuwo , Nzikiriza, Oxygen, Gwe Nsonga and Pain Killer among others.

In all these hits, Azion serenaded the audience, evoking love memories.

The performance threw fans into frenzy cheers with many occasionally and passionately singing along.

The 2010 hit of Nkumira Omukwano saw everyone take to his feet to not only dance but also feel the real meaning of love as Azion asked lovers to keep their love ones’ love.

It was good food for the ears.

Other musicians including the impressive Rema Namakula, Jamal Wasswa and Levixone all added the icing on the cake to ensure love was in the air at Serena Hotel on the evening.

The concert was graced by several personalities in entertainment, politics and media to ensure Serena Hotel was filled to the brim.

The event was a good sign to Azion of the power of his music now that he declared that the “strings of love” concert is to be held every year.
