Uganda’s Ghetto Kids to compete in American Got Talent Fantasy League
After a recent stellar performance in the Britain’s Got Talent, the Ghetto Kids, a Ugandan dance group has yet again been invited to take part into another competition, this time in the United States.
The group has been selected among the 40 acts set to the take part in America’s Got Talent’s Fantasy League that will premiere on Monday, January 1, 2024.
“Exciting News Alert! We are excited to announce that we are Competing on the #AGTFantasyLeague America’s Got Talent premiering on the 1st January 2024 on NBC,” the group posted on their social media pages.
The America’s Got Talent’s Fantasy League is a spin-off of America’s Got Talent .
The difference between the Fantasy League and the original America’s Got Talent is that with the former, each judge will compete against each other for bragging rights by leading their own dream team, acting as a mentor for a roster of acts they pick themselves from across the AGT universe, making the stakes even higher.
Ultimately, the champion of America’s Got Talent Fantasy League will take home a $250,000 grand prize.
Judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and the host Terry Crews are all returning, with previous Judge Mel B also coming back.
During the Fantasy League, the world will see 40 familiar faces who have all graced the Got Talent universe before, of which the fans have helped nominate each of them.
These will include Cillian O’Connor a young magician from Britain’s Got Talent Season 16. At the age of 13 at the time of his audition, O’Connor ended up finishing in 3rd place in Season 16 of Britain’s Got Talent with his magic acts among others.
The Ugandan group will try to emulate the stellar performance they put up earlier this year at the Britain’s Got Talent.
The Ugandan dance group was eliminated at the finals of Britain’s televised talent competition where groups and individuals showcased their talent in various categories on a stage before a panel of judges.
This was after another good performance which saw them set the record when they received the golden buzzer in the middle of a performance, the first time in history this was being done during an act.
