Which club will win the premier league?
The premier league season reached its half-way mark in December. With 20 games played, Liverpool are top of the table closely followed by Aston Villa, Manchester City and Arsenal. This year’s premier league is the tightest in years with only five points separating the top four teams. Youth Blitz sounded out some young people on which club they think will eventually lift the trophy at the end of the season in May. Here are their predictions.

Liverpool will win the premier league going by the way they are playing. So far I think they are the most consistent club and have a good manager, Jurgen Klopp, who knows how to win the premier league. They have also strengthened their squad from last season. I tip them to win it.

Manchester City will take it. They have not had a good season by their standards but they remain the strongest team. They are a few points from the top. Remember they usually play well in the second round of the league and Pep Guardiola is a superb manager who knows how to motivate his team.

As an Arsenal fan, I can’t count out the Gunners yet. They may not be playing at the level they did last season but they have what it takes to win the premier league. In my view what Arsenal needs now is a clinical striker, If they can get one before the January transfer window closes, they have a chance of winning the trophy.
Stephen Mukiga, 33, businessman
I will give it to Liverpool because of their form. They have proved many doubters wrong in the first half of the season. The way they play you see that they have the hunger to win it unlike other top clubs. If their key players remain fit, they can win it
Derrick Ssenjonjo, 25, shop keeper
For me, I think it will be Manchester City because they remain the strongest team and have won it more times in the recent times than other teams. So far their performance has been affected by injuries to their star players like Kevin De Bruyne. But since he is back, expect them to be very strong and unbeatable.
Amina Nagudi, 27, housewife
Arsenal will win it even if many people are not giving them a chance because of their current troubles. The team has matured from last season. If their top players like Saka can regain their form, I don’t see any club stopping them. But even as I say this, I know they have a lot of work to do.
Ayub Musota, 22, student
There is only one team which in my view has the stamina and know-how and it is Manchester City. They have been the most consistent club, they have a bigger squad than other clubs and have a good manager. When you look at Liverpool, it is dependent on Salah, Arsenal is dependent on Saka but Manchester City has many quality players.
