Who will win the World Cup?
The World Cup kicks off in Qatar on November 20. 32 countries will be competing to win the trophy but there can only be one winner. Will France retain the trophy they took in Russia in 2018? Will it be Brazil or will Messi finally out his hands on the trophy that has eluded him? Youth Blitz talked to a number of youths who gave us their predictions.

I will go with Brazil. The Samba Boys have experience at this level. Brazil may not play good football at times but they are always difficult to beat. They come into tournaments knowing that to do and their squad is good. Look at Neymar, Rodrygo, Raphinha, Gabriel Jesus, Allison the Liverpool goalkeeper. They have a great squad.

France is the team to beat. They know how to get wins in difficult moments and are made for tournaments like this. They have more or less the same team that won in Russia so there is a good understanding among the players. I don’t see anyone beating them in Qatar. They will take it.

Do not underestimate England. I think the Three Lions can take the world Cup because they have a deep squad. The players know each other very well and the manager Gareth Southgate is very tactical. Their only weakness is in defence but once they solve that, they can take the World Cup.

France will retain the trophy because they have the best squad. Look at Mbappe, Dembele, Coman and everyone. The core of the team that won the trophy in Russia in 2018 is still there so there is no reason why they can’t retain the trophy.

I believe Senegal will be the first African country to take the World Cup. They have good players like Sadio Mane, Mendy and Koulibaly the Chelsea defender
They have an experienced squad of players who play in the big leagues in Europe. For me I think Senegal can beat any team be it France or Brazil.

It is Germany. Germany is a tournament team and even if some people think they are not favourites, I think they will take it. They have experienced players like Manuel Nuer, Thomas Muller, Joshua Kimich and they have recalled Mario Gotze. In my view they are a very experienced team and have what it takes to take the World Cup.

For me I give it to Argentina because I believe Lionel Messi wants to retire with a bang. Argentina also have some of the best players and they were unlucky in 2014 when they lost to Germany in Brazil. I believe that Argentina have learned their lessons and for people like Messi this could be his last World Cup. This will inspire him to do anything to ensure that Argentina win the trophy.
