Will it be Manchester City, Real Madrid, PSG, Liverpool or Chelsea…Who will win the Champions League?

Many youths in Uganda are ardent followers of European football particularly the English Premier League.

With the Champions League into the second round and with a number of teams playing well, Youth Blitz sounded out a number of youths on which club they think will win the trophy when the finals are played on May 28.

Here are their predictions.

Erias Mugabi, 26, businessman

It will be Manchester City because they are very strong and have now gained experience. They have been improving gradually every year and I think this year they will take it. Pep Guardiola is a good tactician and this time he will not repeat the mistakes of the previous campaigns.

Solomon Opio, 24, boda boda rider

PSG is the club to beat because they have all the good players. With Lionel Messi, Mbappe, Neymar, they have the best attacking force in Europe. They have been unlucky in the past but for me I think they have what it takes to win it.

Aisha Nabawanga, 23, student

Real Madrid will win it because they are specialists in this cup. I know they still have to overcome PSG but if you watched that game, you realize that they were just unlucky. Even without the Galaticos, Madrid is a serious team. Don’t count them out.

Allan Kadidi, 22, butcher

I support Manchester United but I think Manchester City will win it. They are a tough team and have a good coach.

Sheila Nabalayo, 31 businesswoman

For me, Liverpool will take the cup. They have pedigree and experience. Their players have been together for a long time so they know each other. Right now they have hit form. They also have a good manager in Jurgen Klopp.

Deo Mukasa, 22, student

I would tip Bayern Munich to go all the way and win the trophy. They are a solid team and have experienced players like Robert Lewandowski who are on form. I can predict that they will play Manchester City in the final and will emerge winners.

Swaleh Kyabaggu, 25, businessman

I support Chelsea in the Premier League and I think we shall retain the trophy. Remember not many people gave us a chance last year but our coach Tuchel, is a good tactician. Yes, our form at home has not been the best but we are on the knock out stages of the Champions League where anything can happen.
