All I want this Christmas is….

With Christmas just a few days away, young people are slowly getting into the festive groove. Many have ideas of the gifts and wishes that they would want to come true this Christmas. Youth Blitz spoke to some of them and below are their wishes.

Sheila Katusiime, 27, shopkeeper

I want more money to inject into my business. As you can see business activity has picked during the festive season but my capital is limited. How I wish a good Samaritan could get me like Shs 1 million ($300) to inject in my shop.

Maureen Nabirye, 21, student

I just want any good gift but I would prefer an iPhone. Some of my friends at university have it and it is a good phone. So If I cot an iPhone as a gift, my Christmas would be superb.

Sam Ssenabulya, 23, student

If I could get a good pair of headsets, my Christmas would be good. The pair I have has grown old and it is not working well.

Julie Nyonza, 29, businesswoman

I want good health. Many of my friends and relatives have fallen terribly sick this year. I even lost an uncle. So for me as long as God keeps me healthy this Christmas, I will be grateful for that.

I want a suit for Christmas so that I can wear it during the Christmas service. If you can get me that suit, you will have made by Christmas.

Susan Amito, 31, banker

I need money to take care of my family during the festive season. Remember Christmas is one of the few days you spend with your family so you must have a good meal. That meal requires money which will be the best gift for me.

Peace and harmony is all I wish for this Christmas because without peace you can’t have a good Christmas. I hope is that there are no incidents of crime or accidents this Christmas season.

All I want for Christmas is money to enable me go through the festive season well. After the festive season, there will be a few weeks before school resumes. As a parent I will need to plan carefully for school fees. Therefore, If I get enough money to pass through Christmas and spare some for school fees later, I will be glad.

As a Muslim I don’t celebrate Christmas Day but I have many Christian friends who do. How I wish they could invite me for the lunch feast this Christmas because I am single and stay alone. Christmas day is a very lonely day if you have no friends.
