Musicians Cindy, Sheebah mega battle leaves fans yearning for more

Female musicians Cinderella Sanyu also known as Cindy and Sheebah Karungi aka Sheebah put up a memorable first ever female musician battle at Kololo independence grounds.

It started over five years ago when Cindy provoked Sheebah to a music battle which came to pass at Kololo in the midst of their fans.

With the rules of engagement set, it was a strictly live band music show. Each singer had 20 minutes in the first three sessions before each being given two songs for the last sessions as battle lines were drawn.

The fans wore t-shirts and carried placards with pictures of their respective artists as they thronged Kololo to witness the biggest music battle between the female musicians.

Seated on a chair carried by four muscled men, Sheebah who goes by the moniker, Karma Queen arrived on stage amid cheers from her fans.

She hit the ground running with Kisasi Kimu, Nabaleka and Sitani Tonkema with Roden Y, Nyinza, Nsekula, Did I die with Vampino, Muwe, Silwana with Carol Nantongo, Bailamos, Engeri and Boyfire among others.

On the other side, Cindy also hit the stage with Tebimala with Vyper Ranking, Give me dat, Selecta, Boom party, Dancehall and Temple, Copycat and Ayokyayoka that lifted fans from their seats.

Also songs like Nsanyuka Nawe and Nawewe saw fans sing alongside Cindy as they were taken back in time.

Social media judges

Whereas there was no announced winner of the battle of the two songstresses, Ugandans took to social media to pass the judgement on who triumphed.

Many of these watched the show either on television or online and many were in agreement that it was an epic show at Kololo.

However, if the comments on social media are to go by, fans were in agreement that the Ayokyayokya singer, Cindy took home the crown as the undisputed champion of the battle.

Many therefore concluded that the Nokia (Cindy) was more reliable than the fancy iPhone (Sheebah).

In all this, fans from both camps agreed that the battle was worth it and that it had lived to its billing.
