Who will win the Euro 2024 tournament?

The 2024 Euro Tournament kicks off in Germany starting June 14. The 2020 winners, Italy, qualified through the play offs and are in a group that features Croatia, Spain and Albania. There are a number of other strong teams vying to win the trophy. From France to Germany, Portugal, Spain and England, this could be one of the most competitive Euros in years.

I think France will take it because they have the most talented squad. People like Mbappe, Thuram and many others. They are also a very experienced team and have featured in many tournaments.

I think Spain will win it. They have a young team and have a track record. Their biggest rival will be France whose recent performance has been outstanding but right now they have a deep squad. Look at people like Rodri in midfield and others?

Sarah Nansinkombi, 28, businesswoman

I will go with Italy. Italy’s resilience and defensive prowess can’t be ignored. They are made for tournaments. They have a knack for turning up when it matters most. Remember their performance in the last Euros?

Nulu Amito, 22, student

I am a football fan and superb England is my team.  Their young talents like Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka have matured significantly. With the right strategy, they could outplay any team and win. I just hope that the manager does not tinker with the lineup.

Moses Sserwadda, 25, electrician

I will give it to Germany because they are the hosts and have home advantage. They also have a young squad of people like Musiala who might want to prove something. So the German squad is rebuilding, but their home support might give them the extra push.

Andrew Tusiime, 28, barber

People have ignored Belgium but when you look at its squad, it is one of the best. Yes, some of their best players may be aging, but they have one last tournament in them to prove their worth. With players like De Bruyne and Lukaku, they’re still a formidable force.

Juma Isabirye, 24, boda boda cyclist

I can’t underestimate Portugal although I know that not many people will give them a chance. Look at their squad: Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Jota and many others. With Cristiano Ronaldo likely playing his last Euro, the team will be motivated to send him off with a bang. They have a mix of experience and youthful talent.
