Geosteady’s concert lives up to its billing
It was a moment to remember for the fans of Geosteady, real names Kigozi George Wiliam after his concert at Hotel Africana left them yearning for more.
With revelers entering the venue as early as 6pm, they were treated to curtain raising by several other musicians who had graced the concert in show of solidarity with Geosteady.
The man of the day, Geosteady stepped on stage at around 10pm donning a black, sequinned suit and escorted by his fiancée, Hindu Kay.
The couple was welcomed by thunderous cheers from the adoring fans who were eagerly waiting as the singer instantly set the tone and putting the fans into party mood.
The self-proclaimed ‘Blackman’ went on to sing all his songs including Viola which introduced him to the music scene, Tokendeeza, Owooma, Same Way, Wakyuka, Amiina and Njagala Gwe.
The fun filled Hotel Africana parking was thrown into frenzy when Geosteady sang his latest Sembera hit that not only mellowed the hearts of his fans but also brought out the heartfelt emotions in its lyrics.
They could not help but sing out loud along every word of the song as they cheered on his mesmerizing performance.
Excitement, glamour and love filled the concert as the crowd attested to the singer’s musical prowess.
Magical performances by fellow artists, Aziz Azion, Fic Fameika, Lydia Jazmine, Allien Skin, Nince Henry, Karole Kasita, Eddy Kenzo, Fille, Maro and Joseph Ngoma were the icing on the cake.
Geosteady later applauded the fans for showing him love.
“Thank you all for being part of our special day. We appreciate you coming to celebrate with us. Our concert was so special and your presence made it even better. We’re blessed to have friends like you that are family,” he said.
