Nakaseke’s Hannah Karema  Tumukunde crowned Miss Uganda 2023-24

Youthful Hannah Karema Tumukunde who hails from Nakaseke district beat 20 other beauties to be crowned Miss Uganda 2023-24.

Having qualified for the race under the central region, Karema shrugged off competition and was among the five beauties who stormed the finals.

Others were: Jerusha Muwanguzi, Jesca Sserwadda, Whitney Martha Ademun, and Prossy Agwang who lit up the finals.

Karema won the contest while Ademun Whitney Martha and Premah Agwang finished first and second runners up respectively.

The winner drove away in a Toyota Wish, and she will represent Uganda at the 71st edition of the Miss World pageant to be held in the United Arab Emirates in 2023.

Karema will also represent Uganda in the Miss Elite pageant happening later this year in Egypt after she also won the Miss Popularity race.

On the other hand, the first and second runners up won scholarships at the Uganda’s Aviation Academy.

“Thank you, GOD. The crown is finally home, I was crowned Miss Uganda 2023. Thank you all for voting for me,” Karema said after being crowned winner.
