Natasha Nyonyozi crowned Miss Uganda

In a night filled with glamour, beauty, and excitement, Natasha Nyonyozi, a 23-year-old from Kabale District, was crowned Miss Uganda 2024-2025.

The grand finale, held at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel Kampala, showcased the incredible talents and poise of the contestants, culminating in a memorable and breathtaking event.

The evening entailed a showcase of the event’s stunning setup, giving the audience a sneak peek into what promised to be an unforgettable night while the venue was adorned with elegant decor, setting the stage for a dazzling competition.

The event saw a blend of local and international flair, including special guest appearances by distinguished guests like Miss Tanzania Halima Kopwe and Miss World Africa2024,  Lesego Chombo from Bostwana adding to the evening’s prestige.

Together with Miss Tanzania and Miss World Africa, Queen Hannah Karema, Miss Uganda 2023, warmed the stage as she said farewell and crowned Natasha, Miss Uganda 2024.

Natasha Nyonyozi stood out throughout the competition, impressing both the judges and the audience with her eloquence, confidence, and dedication.

As the new Miss Uganda, Nyonyozi took home a Toyota Wish valued at shs25 million, a prize symbolizing her new role and responsibilities.

The first runner-up title went to Suraya Umeimah, while Joan Nabatanzi was named the second runner-up.

Both runners-up were commended for their passion, hardwork and outstanding qualities throught the journey.

After the crowning ceremony, Nyonyozi expressed immense gratitude and excitement.

“ I am beyond thrilled to announce that I am the newly crowned Miss Uganda 2024/ 2025. All glory to God and thanks to everyone who supported me on this journey! Can’t wait to serve and represent my beautiful country!” Nyonyozi posted this on her X (twitter) account, sharing her joy with her supporters.

“Becoming Miss Uganda has been my dream since I was 10 years old. My parents and fans have been incredibly supportive.”

The Miss Uganda 2024 grand finale was not only a celebration of beauty but also a platform for young women to advocate for their causes and demonstrate their capabilities.

Nyonyozi’s victory marks the beginning of a year-long journey, during which she will represent Uganda in various capacities, promoting the country’s culture and values on national and international stages.

The audience and participants alike are eager to see how Nyonyozi will utilize her platform to make a positive impact.

Nyonyozi studied at Coventry University in England, where she earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Accounting and Finance.

She is currently an entrepreneur and the founder of the beauty parlour named Girl Hive in Kampala.

The competition drew  28 contestants from various geographical regions of Uganda who  competed for the coveted crown.
